wow, still complaining about that?

if someone would bruteforce accounts they would need at least your email and for it to be faster then 2 months, the aproximate numbers/letters used in a password. if you get hacked by giving someone a character name, you probably gave your email and password too!

Missing the point FTW

Anyways with the NCsoft MAster accounts sucking...Your email and password are irrelevent as they can be changed without knowing the current information. And the NCsoft Master Accounts are...lacking security wise...your less likely to get hacked posting your log in information on guru then by NCsoft Master Account issues.

The character name was put in and became the sole protection offered since the email and password were irrelevent with the way hackers were gaining acess to accounts.
Here once they change the user name and password. They can quickly run through a nicely compiled username table. It even filters out the people not worth hacking for them.

Although I'm not horribly worried about it. It is a concern.

It was up and running earlier today, (grabs tinfoil hat) perhaps his application/server crashed.
